حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَحَجَّاجٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ: أَرْسَلَ مَرْوَانُ إِلَى أُمِّ مَعْقِلٍ الْأَسَدِيَّةِ يَسْأَلُهَا عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَحَدَّثَتْهُ، أَنَّ زَوْجَهَا جَعَلَ بَكْرًا لَهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، وَأَنَّهَا أَرَادَتِ الْعُمْرَةَ، فَسَأَلَتْ زَوْجَهَا الْبَكْرَ فَأَبَى، فَأَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُعْطِيَهَا وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الْحَجُّ وَالْعُمْرَةُ مِنْ (٣) سَبِيلِ اللهِ "، وَقَالَ: " عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً، أَوْ تُجْزِئُ حَجَّةً "، وَقَالَ حَجَّاجٌ: " تَعْدِلُ بِحَجَّةٍ أَوْ تُجْزِئُ بِحَجَّةٍ "، (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
The messenger of Marwan, whom Marwan had sent to Umm Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with her), says that Umm Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Abu Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with him) had a young camel. She asked her husband for it so that she could perform 'Umrah on it, but he said, "You know that I have dedicated it in the way of Allah." Umm Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with her) went to the service of the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: "O Messenger of Allah! Hajj is obligatory upon me, and Abu Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with him) has a young camel (but he does not give it to me)." The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Give her the camel so she may go for Hajj, for that too is in the way of Allah." And the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Performing 'Umrah in Ramadan will suffice for your Hajj."
