Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm Kulthum bint Abi Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) married Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), he informed her that he had sent a suit and a few ounces of musk as a gift to the Negus, but he thought that the Negus had passed away and probably the gift he had sent would be returned. If that happened, it would belong to her. So it happened exactly as the Prophet (ﷺ) had said, and the gift was returned. The Prophet (ﷺ) distributed one ounce of musk among all his noble wives, and the remaining musk and the suit he gave to Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her).
