حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هُذَيْلُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مَحْذُورَةَ،، ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَوْ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ: " جَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَذَانَ لَنَا وَلِمَوَالِينَا، وَالسِّقَايَةَ لِبَنِي هَاشِمٍ، وَالْحِجَابَةَ لِبَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Mahzura (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) assigned the honor of giving the call to prayer (adhan) to us and our freed slaves, entrusted the service of providing water to Banu Hashim, and gave the office of key-bearer to Banu Abdud-Dar.
