Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ فِي سَفَرٍ قَالَ: " اللهُمَّ أَنْتَ الصَّاحِبُ فِي السَّفَرِ، وَالْخَلِيفَةُ فِي الْأَهْلِ، اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الضُّبْنَةِ فِي السَّفَرِ، وَالْكَآبَةِ فِي الْمُنْقَلَبِ، اللهُمَّ اقْبِضْ لَنَا الْأَرْضَ، وَهَوِّنْ عَلَيْنَا السَّفَرَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that a man said:
O Messenger of Allah, is Hajj every year? He said: “Rather it is one Hajj required of each person. If I said yes, it would be (obligatory) every year.”
