English translation
Narrated from Umm Tariq (may Allah be pleased with her), who was the freed slave of Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him), that once the Prophet (ﷺ) came to Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) and sought permission to enter. Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) remained silent. The Prophet (ﷺ) sought permission three times, and each time he remained silent, so the Prophet (ﷺ) turned back. Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) sent me after the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, “There was nothing preventing us from granting you permission, but we wanted you to pray for our well-being as much as possible.” Umm Tariq (may Allah be pleased with her) further says that then I heard someone’s voice at the door seeking permission, but nothing could be seen. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked, “Who are you?” She said, “I am Umm Mildam (fever).” The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “No welcome to you. Do you know the way to the people of Quba?” She said, “Yes.” The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Then go there.”
