Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha bint Qudamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that I went with my mother Ra’itah to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him) for the pledge of allegiance. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “I take your pledge on these conditions: that you will not associate anything with Allah, you will not steal, you will not commit adultery, you will not kill your children, you will not fabricate any slander between your hands and feet, and you will not disobey me in any good work.” The Prophet (peace be upon him) instructed us to do so according to our ability and as needed. All the women began to agree to this, I too was agreeing with them, and my mother was advising me to act according to my ability.
