حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي (٣) جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْأَصَمِّ،، ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَتْ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا سَجَدَ، جَافَى بِيَدَيْهِ (١) حَتَّى يَرَى مَنْ خَلْفَهُ وَضَحَ إِبْطَيْهِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Maymunah that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) performed prostration, he would keep his arms so far apart from his sides that the whiteness of his blessed armpits could be seen from behind.
