حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكَّارٍ، قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ فَقَالَ: أَقِيمُوا صُفُوفَكُمْ، وَلْتَحْسُنْ شَفَاعَتُكُمْ، وَلَوْ اخْتَرْتُ (٢) رَجُلًا، اخْتَرْتُهُ، ثُمَّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَلِيلٍ، [قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ:] قَالَ أَبِي: وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ الْحَدَّادُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَلِيطٍ، عَنْ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَيْمُونَةَ، وَكَانَ أَخَاهَا مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةٌ إِلَّا شُفِّعُوا فِيهِ " وقَالَ أَبُو الْمَلِيحِ: " الْأُمَّةُ أَرْبَعُونَ إِلَى مِائَةٍ، فَصَاعِدًا " (٣)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
Abu Bakr says that once I offered the funeral prayer behind Abu al-Malih. He said, "Straighten the rows and intercede for him in a good manner. If I were to like any man, I would have liked this deceased." Then he narrated from his chain the narration of Maymunah that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "If a group offers the funeral prayer for a Muslim, their intercession is accepted for him." Abu al-Malih says that by "group" is meant forty to a hundred or even more people.
