حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنَّهَا اسْتَفْتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي فَأْرَةٍ سَقَطَتْ فِي سَمْنٍ لَهُمْ جَامِدٍ، فَقَالَ: " أَلْقُوهَا وَمَا حَوْلَهَا، وَكُلُوا سَمْنَكُمْ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Maymunah that once someone asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about the ruling if a mouse falls into ghee and dies. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If the ghee is solid, then remove the part (where the mouse fell) and the ghee around it, and then use the remaining ghee.
