حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَسَقَتْهُ قَدَحًا مِنْ سَوِيقٍ، فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ، فَمَضْمَضَ (١) ، فَقَالَتْ لَهُ: يَا ابْنَ أَخِي، أَلَا تَتَوَضَّأُ، فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ، أَوْ غَيَّرَتْ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Ibn Saeed bin Mughira once visited Umm Habibah, so she filled a bowl with sattu and gave it to him to drink. Then Ibn Saeed took some water and only rinsed his mouth. Umm Habibah said, "Nephew, why do you not perform ablution? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: After eating something cooked on fire, perform ablution."
