حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ أُخْتِهِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ: " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا، فَيَصُومُ (١) ، وَلَا يُفْطِرُ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that sometimes, at the time of morning, ghusl (ritual bath) would become obligatory upon the Prophet (ﷺ) by choice, and the Prophet (ﷺ) would still fast and would not skip it.
