حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: لَبِسْتُ قِلَادَةً فِيهَا شَعَرَاتٌ (٢) مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، قَالَتْ: فَرَآهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَعْرَضَ عَنِّي، فَقَالَ: " مَا يُؤَمِّنُكِ أَنْ يُقَلِّدَكِ اللهُ مَكَانَهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شَعَرَاتٍ (٣) مِنْ نَارٍ ". قَالَتْ: فَنَزَعْتُهَا (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I wore a necklace which had gold threads in it. The Prophet (ﷺ) saw it and, turning away from me, said: "Who has made you fearless of the fact that Allah, the Exalted, may make you wear threads of fire in place of this on the Day of Resurrection?" So I took it off.
