حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، مَوْلَى الصَّهْبَاءِ (٢) ، عَنْ شَهْرِ يَعْنِي (٣) ابْنَ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: {وَلَا يَعْصِينَكَ فِي مَعْرُوفٍ} [الممتحنة: ١٢] قَالَ: " النَّوْحُ " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: By "and that they will not disobey you in what is right" is meant that women pledge allegiance on the condition that they will not wail (lament for the dead).
