Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ قَالَ: " بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّي (٣) ، إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَزِلَّ أَوْ أَضِلَّ، أَوْ أَظْلِمَ أَوْ، ، أُظْلَمَ، أَوْ أَجْهَلَ أَوْ يُجْهَلَ عَلَيَّ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) would leave the house, he would recite this supplication: In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah. O Allah! We seek refuge with You from slipping or being led astray, or committing injustice or being wronged, or behaving ignorantly or having ignorance shown to us.
