Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to frequently supplicate: "O Allah, Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, are hearts also turned?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "Yes, Allah has created the heart of every human being between two of His fingers. If He wills, He keeps it straight, and if He wills, He turns it aside."
