حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ اجْتَمَعَ هُوَ وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عِنْدَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، فَبَعَثُوا كُرَيْبًا مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، يَسْأَلُهَا، فَذَكَرَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ سُبَيْعَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيَّةَ تُوُفِّيَ عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا، فَنُفِسَتْ بَعْدَهُ بِلَيَالٍ، فَذَكَرَتْ سُبَيْعَةُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فَأَمَرَهَا، ، أَنْ تَتَزَوَّجَ (١) " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Abu Salamah says that once there was a difference of opinion between Abu Hurairah and Ibn Abbas regarding a woman whose husband passes away and she gives birth to a child. They sent a messenger to Umm Salamah, so she said that the husband of Sabi’ah bint Harith had passed away, and only fifteen days, that is, half a month after his death, she gave birth to a child. She came to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "You have become lawful, so you may marry whomever you wish."
