Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: Whoever is afflicted by a calamity and says "Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un" and then supplicates, "O Allah! Reward me for my affliction and grant me something better in exchange for it," Allah will reward him for his affliction and grant him something better in exchange. When my husband Abu Salamah passed away, I thought, "Who could be better than Abu Salamah?" Yet Allah honored me, gave me strength, and I recited this supplication. Consequently, I was married to the Prophet (ﷺ).
