حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَتْ: وَالَّذِي (٢) تَوَفَّى نَفْسَهُ " مَا مَاتَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى كَانَتْ أَكْثَرُ صَلَاتِهِ قَاعِدًا إِلَّا الصَّلَاةَ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ، وَكَانَ أَحَبُّ الْعَمَلِ إِلَيْهِ الَّذِي يَدُومُ عَلَيْهِ الْعَبْدُ، وَإِنْ كَانَ يَسِيرًا " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that at the time of the Prophet’s (ﷺ) passing, apart from the obligatory prayers, most of his prayers were performed sitting, and the most beloved deed to the Prophet (ﷺ) was that which was done consistently, even if it was little.
