حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لِأَزْوَاجِهِ: " إِنَّ الَّذِي يَحْنُو عَلَيْكُنَّ بَعْدِي لَهُوَ (١) الصَّادِقُ الْبَارُّ، اللهُمَّ اسْقِ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ مِنْ سَلْسَبِيلِ الْجَنَّةِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying to his pure wives: "After me, whoever shows kindness to you will surely be a truthful and righteous man. O Allah, give Abdur Rahman bin Awf to drink from the water of Salsabeel in Paradise."
