حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، قَالَ: عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَعْلَى بْنُ مَمْلَكٍ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِاللَّيْلِ (٢) . قَالَتْ: " كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةَ، ثُمَّ يُسَبِّحُ، ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي بَعْدَهَا مَا شَاءَ اللهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، ثُمَّ يَنْصَرِفُ، فَيَرْقُدُ مِثْلَ مَا صَلَّى، ثُمَّ يَسْتَيْقِظُ، ، مِنْ نَوْمَتِهِ تِلْكَ (١) ، فَيُصَلِّي مِثْلَ مَا نَامَ، وَصَلَاتُهُ الْآخِرَةُ تَكُونُ إِلَى الصُّبْحِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Ya'la bin Mamlak says that I asked Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) about the night prayer and recitation of the Prophet (peace be upon him), so she said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to sleep for as long as he prayed after performing the 'Isha prayer and the voluntary prayers, and he used to pray for as long as he slept, then the end of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) prayer would be at dawn.
