Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) came to the body of Abu Salamah, whose eyes had remained open. The Prophet (ﷺ) closed them and said, "When the soul is taken, the eyes follow it." Meanwhile, some people in the house began to weep and wail. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Pray only for good for yourselves, for the angels say 'Ameen' to your supplications." Then he said, "O Allah, forgive Abu Salamah, raise his rank among those who are rightly guided, and appoint a successor for him among those he has left behind. O Lord of all the worlds, forgive us and him. O Allah, make his grave spacious and illuminate it for him."
