حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي حُجْرَةِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، فَمَرَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ عَبْدُ اللهِ أَوْ عُمَرُ (١) ، فَقَالَ: بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا، قَالَ: فَرَجَعَ، قَالَ: فَمَرَّتْ ابْنَةُ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا، قَالَ: فَمَضَتْ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " هُنَّ أَغْلَبُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) was praying in her room when Abdullah bin Umar passed in front of him. The Prophet (ﷺ) gestured to him with his hand, so he moved back. Then Umm Salamah’s daughter began to pass by, so the Prophet (ﷺ) stopped her as well, but she passed in front. After finishing the prayer, the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Women prevail.”
