حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ يَعْنِي الطَّالَقَانِيَّ (١) ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ حَفْصَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ، بَيْنَ النِّدَاءِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ، مِنْ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Hafsa that at the time of the true dawn, between the adhan and the iqamah, the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to offer two short rak'ahs.
