Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Hafsa that I submitted in the presence of the Messenger, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the reason that people have ended their state of Ihram, but you have not come out of the Ihram of Umrah?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "Actually, I had tied a garland around the neck of the sacrificial animal and had my hair cut short, therefore I cannot come out of Ihram until I have completed the Ihram of Hajj."
