Original Arabic

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ نَبِيذِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ فَقَالَ: " كَانَ يَشْرَبُ بِالنَّهَارِ مَا صُنِعَ بِاللَّيْلِ، وَيَشْرَبُ بِاللَّيْلِ مَا صُنِعَ بِالنَّهَارِ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) made (the diyah for) teeth and digits the same.
