Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ التَّمِيمِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فَذَكَرَ شَيْئًا قَالَ: " وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يُكْثِرُ السِّوَاكَ " قَالَ: حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا - أَوْ رَأَيْنَا - أَنَّهُ سَيُنْزَلُ عَلَيْهِ (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) from the Prophet (ﷺ):
"I have been commanded to prostrate on seven, and not to tuck up my hair or garment."
