Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، وَهِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي (٢) عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، كَانَ يَقُولُ عِنْدَ الْكَرْبِ: " لَا إِلَهَ إِلا اللهُ الْحَلِيمُ الْعَظِيمُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلا اللهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلا اللهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ ورَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) deliver the khutbah in ‘Arafat. He said:
"Whoever cannot find an izar, let him wear pants; whoever cannot find sandals, let him to wear leather slippers (khuffain)."
