حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " جَمَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، فِي غَيْرِ سَفَرٍ وَلا خَوْفٍ "، قَالَ: قُلْتُ يَا أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ: وَلِمَ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ: " أَرَادَ أَنْ لَا يُحْرِجَ أَحَدًا مِنْ أُمَّتِهِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) drank, he would pause to breathe twice whilst drinking. And my father wrote after this hadeeth: I do not think 'Abdullah heard this hadeeth (directly).
