Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْجَعْدِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ رَأَى مِنْ أَمِيرِهِ شَيْئًا يَكْرَهُهُ فَلْيَصْبِرْ، فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ خَالَفَ الْجَمَاعَةَ شِبْرًا فَمَاتَ، فَمِيتَتُهُ جَاهِلِيَّةٌ " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade gourds, green glazed pitchers, varnished jars and hollowed-out stumps, and he forbade mixing dates once they begin to ripen (balh) with unripe dates that have begun to take on a red or yellow colour (zahw).
