Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " يُعَذَّبُ الْمَيِّتُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ " (٢) .،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from ‘Umar that:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The deceased is tormented because of his family`s crying for him.”
