Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، يَقُولُ: " صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثَمَانِيًا جَمِيعًا، وَسَبْعًا جَمِيعًا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"The (evil) eye is real and could cause the destruction of a mountain.”
