Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَمَانٍ، عَنْ حَسَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: " كَانَ الْمَاءُ يَسْتَنْقِعُ فِي جُفُونِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَكَانَ عَلِيٌّ يَحْسُوهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“I am not asking you for any reward for what I have brought to you of clear signs of guidance, except that you love Allah and drew close to Him by obeying Him.”
