Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هَانِئٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ الْجَنْبِيِّ، عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ (١) ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " يُسَلِّمُ الرَّاكِبُ عَلَى الْمَاشِي وَالْقَلِيلُ عَلَى الْكَثِيرِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Fadala (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The rider should greet those who are walking, and the few should greet the many."
