حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَبَهْزٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ، فَقَالَ لِأَبِي رَافِعٍ: اصْحَبْنِي كَيْمَا تُصِيبَ مِنْهَا قَالَ: لَا حَتَّى آتِيَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَسْأَلَهُ، فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ: " الصَّدَقَةُ لَا تَحِلُّ لَنَا وَإِنَّ مَوْلَى الْقَوْمِ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) or his son passed by me. They had been appointed for the collection of zakat. They invited me to go with them. I presented myself before the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) and asked him about this. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: O Abu Rafi’! Zakat is forbidden for Muhammad and the family of Muhammad (ﷺ), and the freed slave of a people is counted among them.
