حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارُ، حَدَّثَنَي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيةَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ السُّلَمِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَي بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ بِنَحْوِهِ فَزَادَ فِيهِ، وَقَالَ: " إِنَّمَا هِيَ التَّسْبِيحُ (١) وَالتَّكْبِيرُ وَالتَّحْمِيدُ وَقِرَاءَةُ الْقُرْآنِ " أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Muawiyah bin Hakam Sulami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates the previous hadith through this other chain as well........ However, in this it is stated: "Prayer is indeed the name of glorification (tasbih), magnification (takbir), and recitation of the Qur'an," or as the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said.
