Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنِي يَعْقُوبُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ صَالِحٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ رُؤْيَا رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، الَّتِي ذَكَرَ؟، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: ذَكَرَ لِي أَنَّ (٢) رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " بَيْنَمَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ أُرِيتُ أَنَّهُ وُضِعَ فِي يَدَيَّ سِوَارَانِ (٣) مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، فَفَظِعْتُهُمَا، فَكَرِهْتُهُمَا، فَأُذِنَ لِي فَنَفَخْتُهُمَا فَطَارَا، فَأَوَّلْتُهُ كَذَّابَيْنِ يَخْرُجَانِ " قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ: " أَحَدُهُمَا الْعَنْسِيُّ الَّذِي قَتَلَهُ فَيْرُوزُ بِالْيَمَنِ، وَالْآخَرُ مُسَيْلِمَةُ " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on a rainy day, trying to avoid the mud when he prostrated with a cloak he was wearing, placing it under his hands on the ground when he prostrated.
