Translation

English translation

When the final moments of Salman Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) approached, he began to weep and said that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) had taken a covenant from us and left us upon that covenant: that in this world, the most possessions we should have should be no more than the provisions of a traveler. The narrator says that after the passing of Salman Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him), when we examined his estate, the total value of all his belongings was only a little over twenty or thirty dirhams.
