حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْمَاصِرُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي قُرَّةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ حُذَيْفَةُ بِالْمَدَائِنِ، فَكَانَ يَذْكُرُ أَشْيَاءَ قَالَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَجَاءَ حُذَيْفَةُ إِلَى سَلْمَانَ، فَيَقُولُ سَلْمَانُ: يَا حُذَيْفَةُ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَغْضَبُ فَيَقُولُ: وَيَرْضَى وَيَقُولُ: لَقَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَ فَقَالَ: " أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبَبْتُهُ سَبَّةً فِي غَضَبِي، أَوْ لَعَنْتُهُ لَعْنَةً، فَإِنَّمَا أَنَا مِنْ وَلَدِ آدَمَ أَغْضَبُ كَمَا يَغْضَبُونَ، وَإِنَّمَا بَعَثَنِي رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ فَاجْعَلْهَا صَلَاةً عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Amr bin Qurrah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) used to live in the city of Mada'in and would mention some things that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) had said. One day Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Salman Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him). Salman Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, "Hudhaifa! The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) sometimes spoke certain things in anger and sometimes in happiness. I know that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said while delivering a sermon: 'If I have ever spoken harshly to any of my followers in anger or cursed or reproached him, then I am also from among the children of Adam, and just as ordinary people get angry, I also get angry. And Allah has made me a mercy to the worlds. O Allah! Make these words of mine a source of mercy for that person on the Day of Resurrection.'"
