حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ صُعَيْرٍ (١)، ٢٣٦٥٧ - حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ صُعَيْرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ: " زَمِّلُوهُمْ فِي ثِيَابِهِمْ " قَالَ: وَجَعَلَ يَدْفِنُ فِي الْقَبْرِ الرَّهْطَ قَالَ: وَقَالَ: " قَدِّمُوا أَكْثَرَهُمْ قُرْآنًا " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Thalabah (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the occasion of the Battle of Uhud, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Wrap the martyrs in their own clothes." Then the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) began to bury several people in a single grave and kept saying: "Of them, the one who has memorized the most Qur'an, lower him into the grave first."
