حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ، ٢٣٦٤٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا يَسْأَلُ رَجُلٌ وَلَهُ أُوقِيَّةٌ أَوْ عَدْلُهَا، إِلَّا سَأَلَ إِلْحَافًا " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from a companion of Banu Asad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Whoever possesses one uqiyah of silver or something equivalent to it, and yet he asks someone (for help), then he has asked insistently (persistently clinging) in his request.
