حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، وزَكَرِيَّا بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ: أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَدَحِ لَبَنٍ مِنَ النَّقِيعِ، لَيْسَ بِمُخَمَّرٍ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَوْلَا خَمَّرْتَهُ وَلَوْ بِعُودٍ تَعْرُضُهُ "، ، قَالَ أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ: " إِنَّمَا أَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْأَسْقِيَةِ أَنْ تُوكَأَ، وَبِالْأَبْوَابِ أَنْ تُغْلَقَ لَيْلًا " وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ زَكَرِيَّا قَوْلَ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ بِاللَّيْلِ (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Humaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that he brought a bowl of milk from the place Naqi’ to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), which was not covered. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: Why did you not cover it, even if only with a piece of wood? Abu Humaid (may Allah be pleased with him) further states that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) has instructed to tie the mouths of water skins and to keep the doors closed at night.
