Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، أَنَّ أَسْلَمَ أَبَا عِمْرَانَ التُّجِيبِيَّ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ، يَقُولُ: صَفَفْنَا يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ، فَنَدَرَتْ مِنَّا نَادِرَةٌ أَمَامَ الصَّفِّ، فَنَظَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيْهِمْ، فَقَالَ: " مَعِي مَعِي " وَكَذَا قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: فَبَدَرَتْ مِنَّا بَادِرَةٌ، وَقَالَ: صَفَفْنَا يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Badr, we formed rows, and one man from among us went ahead of the row. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) saw him and said, "Stay with me, stay with me."
