حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يُودَى الْمُكَاتَبُ بِقَدْرِ مَا أَدَّى دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ، وَبِقَدْرِ مَا رَقَّ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“The previously married woman has more right to decide (concerning her marriage) and the female orphan should be consulted, and her permission is her silence."
