حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ بْنِ قُدَامَةَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ، مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أَيُعْجِزُ (١) أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ، فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ قَرَأَ قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ اللهُ الصَّمَدُ فِي لَيْلَةٍ فَقَدْ قَرَأَ لَيْلَتَئِذٍ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Is any one of you unable to recite one third of the Qur'an in a night? Surah Ikhlas is equal to one third of the Qur'an, so whoever recites Surah Ikhlas three times at night, it is as if he has recited one third of the Qur'an.
