English translation
It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) stood among us on his red camel and said, "Do you know what day it is today?" We replied, "The Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr)." He said, "You have spoken the truth, this is the day of the Greater Pilgrimage (Hajj al-Akbar). Do you know what month this is?" We replied, "Dhul-Hijjah." He said, "You have spoken the truth, this is the Silent Month." He then asked, "Do you know what place this is?" We replied, "The Sacred Monument (Mash'ar Haram)." He said, "You have spoken the truth. Your lives and your wealth are sacred to you just as the sanctity of this day, in this month, in this city. Remember! I will wait for you at the Pond of Kawthar and I will see you, and through you I will show my abundance to other nations. Therefore, do not blacken my face. You have seen me and heard my words, and you will be asked about me. Whoever attributes a lie to me should prepare his abode in Hell. Remember! I will save some people, and many people will be taken away from me. I will say, 'O Lord, these are my companions.' Then it will be said to me, 'You do not know what innovations they introduced after you.'"
