Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " مَا سَنَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، شَيْئًا إِلا وَقَدْ عَلِمْتُهُ غَيْرَ ثَلاثٍ: لَا أَدْرِي أَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ أَمْ لَا؟ وَلا أَدْرِي كَيْفَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ: (وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنَ الكِبَرِ عُتِيًّا) أَوْ " عُسُيًّا "؟، قَالَ حُصَيْنٌ: " وَنَسِيتُ الثَّالِثَةَ " قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: " سَمِعْتُهَا كُلَّهَا أَنَا مِنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"Good health and free time [are] two blessings from Allah that many people do not make good use of."
