حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رُئِيَ بِالْعَرْجِ وَهُوَ يَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمَاءَ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ مِنَ الْحَرِّ أَوِ الْعَطَشِ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) was seen at a place called "Arj" pouring water over his head due to heat or thirst while in the state of fasting.
