حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَعْظَمُ الْغُلُولِ عِنْدَ اللهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ذِرَاعٌ مِنْ أَرْضٍ يَكُونُ بَيْنَ الرَّجُلَيْنِ أَوْ بَيْنَ الشَّرِيكَيْنِ لِلدَّارِ فَيَقْتَسِمَانِ، فَيَسْرِقُ أَحَدُهُمَا مِنْ صَاحِبِهِ ذِرَاعًا، ، مِنْ أَرْضٍ فَيُطَوَّقُهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Malik Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet, the Leader of both worlds (ﷺ), said: The greatest betrayal in the sight of Allah is betrayal in a span of land. You see that two men are neighbors in a piece of land or a house, yet one of them unjustly takes a span from his companion's share. On the Day of Resurrection, the one who does this will have a collar made from that portion, from all seven earths, placed around his neck.
