Translation

English translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that

His maternal aunt Umm Hufaid, gave the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) some ghee, a [cooked] lizard and some dried yoghurt. He ate some of the ghee and dried yoghurt, but he left the lizard because he found it off-putting. But it was eaten at the table of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and if it were haram, it would not have been eaten at the table of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). I [the narrator] said: Who said, If it were haram? He said: Ibn 'Abbas
