حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّوْشَجَانِ وَهُوَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ السُّوَيْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " " أَسْوَأُ النَّاسِ سَرِقَةً الَّذِي يَسْرِقُ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ " ". قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَكَيْفَ يَسْرِقُ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ؟ قَالَ: " " لَا يُتِمُّ رُكُوعَهَا وَلَا سُجُودَهَا " " أَوْ قَالَ: " " لَا يُقِيمُ صُلْبَهُ فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ " ". Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The worst thief among people is the one who steals from his prayer. The people asked, "O Messenger of Allah! How can a person steal from his prayer?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) replied: By not performing the bowing (ruku) and prostration (sajdah) properly and completely.
